how can i fix my technics hi fi sa dv280?

hi have ay technics hifi for 2 years tryed to play cd
-dvd to day saterday the 4 /4/06 and it will not reconis the disc so can you help my as it is my pride & juy thanks

I know its a long time since your question, but I have the same HIFI but the amplifier unit is bust. The CD/DVD player still works as I tried it out connected to my new system. I am thinking about listing it on ebay for spares and repairs
