I have a new motor for a dyson d14 but i dont no what colour leads fit to the dyson d14, The two colours on the motor are red and black, The two leads on dyson d14 are blue and brown , Dyson helpline no help at all all they wanted was to send out a fitter to connect the two leads thanks for any help.

Standard wiring convention is Red = Brown; Black = Blue. Therefore, connect red to brown, etc. In theory, it shouldn't matter with AC current, but best to follow convention in case there's some sort of AC/DC conversion in the gubbins.
