I have a hoover optima wash system {oph714d} only 15 months old?

on the cotton +P wash only, halfway through the cycle it stops and the E03 sign comes up ? can anyone tell me why
Iain Thornton, October 2009
My problem is absolutely no power at all. Checked plug and fuse and even tried the plug in a different socket. No problem on last cycle too so it's come as a shock. Normally when had a problem before it would show up an error code so I could look up and fix the problem myself.

I have a hoover optima - 2 years old and water is coming over the top of the drawer - this is the second time, but my soap goes in the drum and drawer is cleaned to stop conditioner blockage!

Eo3 keeps coming up on my oph714d washer can any one help

angus campbell, October 2013
I found that the element sits on top of the water outlet from the drum and the lime scale and lint on the element were slowing the draining triggering E3 error. Removing the element and dipping it into kettle descaler for the night solved the problem.

had the same problem turned out to be misses breast pad jammed the outlet pump cleared it and works fine now however the seal on the filter cover is shocking and would not seal on refitting had to over tighten it to get it to seal!

Same with mine, about 18 months old, filter, pump and drain are okay, only happens about every 3rd wash, just turn off and it resets. Seems a common problem. Sort it out HOOVER!

John Beer, August 2011
try checking the pressure chamber its linked to a small air pipe that goes to the pressure switch they do get a bit mucked up from time to time

CHRIS ROBBINS, March 2011

I have the same problem. E03 message come up mid way through cotton and coloured cycles. Check hose and filter. All ok and clear. Is there a way to fix?

Lisa, August 2010
We have the same problem with our 18month old machine. It's not the drain hose or filter and the pump has been replaced. Seems to be a common fault here. Very expensive with call out in the region of £100 plus other labour charges on top. We are reluctantly replacing the machine as we don't want to throw good money after bad. Have found an AEG with 5 year warrently thrown in!

I have been having this problem for some time. pump is fine / hoses are clean / drium is clear / outlet is free flowing, I have come to the conclusion the pcb is at fault, it can be overriden by selecting rinse and then works fine, but rinse in the wash cycle is a no go, as with all these faults just past the 12 months warranty!!

We have the same problem. Checked all the pipes, pump, filter... Nothing wrong. Have you had any luck finding out the problem with your machine? Our machine is just over 12 months old!!!!

Us Too, 14 months old, error code 03, changed pump, no joy, blew out level sensor tube worked for 3 days. turns out to be PCB!!!! Thank you hoover. The Manager of Comet in Southend end said they may only last 14 days. very reassuring

Similar problem, mine will not drain on any program, E03 appears.
Filter and hoses clear, pump not rotating. Got voltage going to pump looks like pump motor open circuit.

My washer has developed this fault tonight, 12 days over its 12 month warranty. Will be interesting talking to their service department in the morning.

Not been able to get a part number for the pump but reckon somewhere between £20-£30.
