Not sure what instructions you have been given earlier but here is my 2 cents. Remove backplate, remove motor plug & earth lead, remove the 4 locating bolts. Using a rubber mallet or piece of wood etc tap the motor shaft lightly. The motor is located on 4 plastic inserts (which are a part of the tub casing). It has to be moved backwards & off the plastic inserts before you can remove it from the machine. i.e. you can't pull it towards you to take it off, it has to go back first.
