How can I fix my Hotpoint Aquarious Extra WMA36?
Machine worked well for a good few years, until it stopped a few months ago, I did bit of poking inside and found a wire had chafed through to the motor against the concrete balance weights. I used a crimp type inline connector and we were back in action! The machine was again running well enough as it has for the last few months sinse the minor repair. Working well enough today in fact, until I heared a pop from the Kitchen, and thouhgt it was a fuse as the washer had stopped mid cycle. I changed the fuse and the lights didnt work so I thought it was something deeper, after a whilst I emptied the wet load from inside and found the water was boiling hot, and still heating up! I could hear a sound like a kettle heating change as I switched the supply socket on and off to the water heater, but still no lights, door lock or any action other than the water heating up. Any thoughts, anyone, please?
