my cordless bt studio 3100 hand set is not ringing it just displays Base 1 ?

how does one do to make it work back to ringing, but the base is ringing thou but not the hand set

i had the same problem and rang bt helpline 08001456789 and they helped me go through the reg hand set and were very helpful but only to find it was a faulty handset but it was worth a phone call

I have a similar problem. My base hand set is programmed as #1 and I have programmed my other 3 handsets as #2,#3 and #4, however, set #3 keeps defaulting to #1 and has no dial tone. In other words, two sets end up as #1.
Any ideas? Are there too many sets?

the handset is not register with the base so you need to, press menu on the telephone keypad then go to register, then to reg base then serch base( while you do this hold on the base the find button) then this will ask u for a code just press 0000 and then ok and thats it.
