I need to find out how to take it apart the inlet washer seem to be ok but the water seems to flow through a tube and i am not sure how to dismantle it

Thanks for your help in the end it was a small hole in the diapram washer. your answers gave me a clue and since then i have found roughly howe it works.

You might wait a long time - may be easier to state the problem you have i.e. Close Coupled Cistern leaks between WC pan & cistern when flushed or... Continual trickle of water into WC pan after filling. etc etc.

Whichever it is it's usually a relatively easy fix.
