My panasonic lumix camera only seems to want to take photos in burst mode. if you try any other mode it will not take pictures and comes up with the turn camera off and on error message. Any ideas on how to fix this??

I dropped my Panasonic Lumix TZ5 recently . It was in it's case, and dropped from waist height There is no obvious damage to the camera , but the camera will not switch on. Have you any ideas what can be done to get it going again. I have tried recharging the battery and spare battery. I had also ordered a new battery , but have not received it yet.
