my toilet won't flush unless your pump the handle?

My toilet has a UF100 cistern, from B&Q i believe.
The problem is it will not flush the first time and will only flush after several quick pumps on the handle

As above the diaphram is faulty ( diaphram by the way is usually only a piece of plactic the thickness of a sheet of A4 paper )- but I replace lots with a flapper type valve ( also B&Q ) which is simpler in construchion and will last MUCH longer ( ask the plumber assistant )

This is caused by a split diaphragm in the syphon. The only cure is to fit a new one. You will need to identify the make of syphon to get a spare diaphragm or purchase a whole new syphon. Steve at toiletspares is the best guy to ask. 01565-733025
