Help! Greenmaster Motor GMD 118-1, Reebok Fusion Treadmill (REV-10301)?

Hi,

Where can I buy a new Treadmill Motor.
Reebok Fusion Treadmill (REV-10301).
Greenmaster Motor GMD 118-1
Open Construction
1.75 HP Continuous Duty
230V DC Power Imput
50/60Hz
4800 RPM

Mid use one day it just stopped! Control panel works fine, incline works fine etc etc ... just no signs of life from the motor at all!

If anyone can point me in the right direction...I did consider taking it to a bloke my mechanic knows who strips and repairs starter moters etc to see if he could sort it...what do you think?

check the motor first by connecting it to a 12 volt battery if it runs its something to do with your controller

try to change the capacitor on the control board on the rigth side of motor , if u look in front of the treadmill. it is a huge black eletronic piece. My treadmil is working fine since I change this element.

same problem but the brushes were OK ,there was damage to comutator segments and it is just about impossible to dismantle the motor to repair without fully equiped workshop Another case of manufacturers rip off (if it breaks they want you to buy another)

It sounds like a good idea unless you can source parts on eBay or the like.

Just boughtonemyself last week and struggling to find a manual in hard copy or even electronic form on the internet. If I had one, I'd strip mine down to have a look for you although it might not give the information in there.

I would imagine the motor is like any other electrical motor. No doubt the brushes have worn out.
