Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine is tripping electricity meter?

Hotpoint aquarius machine is not loaded with washing it works well. When washing machine is loaded with washing it starts but after a minute or more it trips the electricity meter but leaves the fuse (13amp) not blown.
I suspect it is a motor capacity problem when the load is on the motor.Possibly a capacitor (sink) across the motor points (theory) not tested.
Anyone know how to fix or help me with this problem?

Thanks for the advice. The Hotpoint acquarious trips the RCD when set on C =Colourfast cotton after about 2 -4 minutes into the wash but only when loaded. Would you say that this is when the heater element is in use in the cycle and if shorting is making the machine dangereous when the RCD is tripped. So the solution is to replace the element.
Any advice.

You mean it trips the RCD? This indicates an earth fault not an overload condition. There is no capacitor on the motor. There is a mains interference capacitor on the machine but these rarely fail. You say the machine works fine empty...do you mean it works fine on a spin program, cold wash program, temp program...what?? It is important to know the difference. I suspect you have an earth fault on the heater element & this is what trips your rcd.
An earth problem is very a serious condition. If your rcd malfunctions you could risk serious injury or death by electrocution. DO NOT use any appliance that has developed a problem of this nature. Pull the plug & seek qualified assistance.
