Advice please for Hitachi microwave Mod. MCB30?

The interior light blew and I purchased a spare and fitted it. It still does not illuminate and nor does the turntable revolve. Everything else works perfectly and it still heats the contents of the oven although the table is stationary. Any Ideas???

The lamp is within the casing of the microwave. You have to remove the casing, the lamp is screwed into a holder that clips to a plastic shroud attached to the side of the oven.
I have had the same problem with lamp and turntable no longer working. I have checked all wiring and readily visible components for sighns of failure, all seem OK. A suggestion has been that the circuit board may have a burned out track, can anyone confirm this as being likely, if so does this mean I have to remove the rear of the control panel to get to it to find out?
Help!

We also have the same problem with the bulb blowing in this Model MCB30 ( and only just out of warranty)........ but we cannot find where the bulb is in the microwave to enable us to at least buy another one. Could you please advise where the bulb can be found and where we can purchase a new one.
Kind regards

Hi Patrick,
You are a hero! it was burnt PCB but finding it was akin to rewiring the house because the kitchin light bulb had blown!! Many thanks for your input. Keep up the good works.

Hi Robin, in nearly all microwaves domestic and commercial the lamp and motor circuits are common. I don't know the model you refer to but, the failure is of a common part. look for either a fuse, unlikely, a blown piece of pcb track, or a failed relay (unlikely)

For any further assistance parts etc contact me via microwave-repairs.co.uk. The rules of this site prohibit me from giving an email address in a reply.
