I've bought a winter cover for my caravan, and I'm wondering if I can take the aerial off the roof, so that the cover will fit more snugly..
The aerial is a Vision Plus Status....It looks like a flying saucer.

Cheers Bob, I thought that was how it was done, but I didn't want to ruin anything....As it happens, The cover was too small and I've got to return it and get a bigger one.

Hi Chumley if you havent found out already the pinacle screws off. To take off the flying saucer part you need an allen key and loosen or remove three, I think allen type screws ie inset hex head screws. The base plate remains. It was designed this way incase it had to be removed to board a ferry or get under other overhead obstruction whereby the aerial or roof would sustain damage.
