I have a Panasonic DMR-EX85 DVD recorder connected by a HDMI cable to my Sharp LC52D77X Full HD TV. I can get all HD channels through the TV and I can get all Digital Stations through the DVD recorder. However when I select any of the HD channels the DVD Recorder reports the error message "Unable to decode HD". I have the digital antenna lead plugged directly into the DVD Recorder. Would appreciate any ideas on why it can't decode the HD channels.

Yes, the dmr ex85 only has a standard def tuner. You won't get HD out of it. By the way my dmr ex85 digital tuner has completely stopped working can only get analogue channels now.
