Toshiba 5 disc DVD Changer keeps opening?

The disk slots keep opening instead of reading that a DVD is inside one of the slots. How do I keep this from continueing happening?

i've got exactly the same problem on my philips dvdr75 machine,though its only a single disc machine. if i get a reply to my question i'll pass on the answer/remedy to you.
