If you have defective door switch resetting won't help and if you try to change it yourself you will most probably infringe the warranty. These switches have an annoying habit of damaging the PCB when they blow, so that's another reason to leave well alone. Could you speak to the shop where you bought the machine & explain the situation? you never know they may be kind enough to supply you with a machine on loan until an AEG technician can get there.
