my washer has done exactly the same just reading h20, ive checked the same hose. my washer is a hotpoint ultima WT741.

(the inlet valve is relatively easy to replace)

Chemical symbol for water H 2 O - either you have too much or not enough - may be a wise thing to call an appliance engineer or consult the user guide that came with the machine - you do not mention the make or model.
