The CD player in the wifes 53 plate Fiesta has gone awol, giving us an error code 24 message, any ideas

l have a ford fiesta 02 cd player 4500 rds , l just a buzzing sound on all radio stations and very faint talking in background , l have checked all aerial connections

Hi Bry, code 24 is "focus error", causes:- CD dirty or upside down!! clean CD try again if same code, remove power connector from radio ( will need security code) leave off for 1 min then refit and try again if still code 24 replace radio, that is from the Ford dealers manual, you could also try a CD lens cleaner from Maplins or any good audio shop
