Problem with AEG Favorit 60870 Sensorlogic Dishwasher - Help Please?

My dishwasher does not dissolve the tablets and I think it may be the heater element. I also tried the 30 quick wash and a code 'Ih' appeared on the display.
Is it the heater element thats causing the problem, and is this an easy job to replace?
