When i close my front door it doesn't lock unless I pull handle up and lock it manually with a key. Is there any way that this can be changed so that it automatically locks as a yale lock does?

It might be possible to get this function by just changing the door handles, contact a Master Locksmith Association approved locksmith. They will be able to advise on parts or undertake the work for you.

You'll have to go back to the manufacturer of the door if it's a UVPC door....
But why are you trying to make your front door LESS secure...When leaving the house, you KNOW the front door is locked...Come on!!!!! It only takes eight seconds to turn a key!!!
Disregard this if you've got arthritus....But then you've got to use a key to get back in!!!
