Vic is right - you take care...

Here's a link to a table of what you can and can't do with electricity in the home

http://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/partp.htm

- you are actually allowed to replace a light fitting in a bathroom without notification - in fact you can do any work you want in the bathroom but some things have to be signed off as a safe installation by a trained and certificated copmpetent person - the illegality is not necessarily "doing" the work but failing to have it properly checked for safety.

There are many tradesmen (Gas & Electric) who contribute here who either do not understand this or deliberately scare people by failing to explain what's required.

As you do not appear to even know the proper names for the electrical cables, do you think that you should be doing this? Especially in a bathroom?

BTW, if you are in the UK amateur work in the bathroom is not only dangerous, it is illegal.
