Bad news I'm afraid Carl. These engines suffer massive damage if the belt comes off or breaks. The valves sit vertically over the pistons and they get rammed back up through the top of the head rather than bent. This usually takes out the cam bearing caps as well. You will almost certainly need a new cylinder head, even if the engine was only cranking on the starter at the time.
You need a proper timing pin kit to set the engine back up. There are no timing marks on the pulleys.
