Found my answer after consulting a specialist, so in case anybody else runs into this problem here is the solution:
Each time you input a wrong code, the waiting time for another shot at putting in the code increases. The problem is that you have to run through the same steps as usual (switching off the radio, pressing AS button, turning on the radio and holding down AS button untin „ X SAFE” message appears – X being the number of tries you have left). The only problem is that you have to wait like this with your ignition/engine turned on for a lot of time (in the case of 6 tries left – 25 min). If you turn off the ignition/engine you have to start all over again (kind of stupid if you ask me, but...).
Anyway, the less tries you have left, the more you have to wait. So all you have to do is be pacient and wait for the ’’- - - -’’ screen and input the correct code.
