WD440 Hotpoint electrical fault?

Machine has stopped mid cycle. When I turn on the machine it trips the rcd breaker. Clothes are stuck inside as door is locked. How do I get my clothes out?

Unplug and leave the machine. Tape a bin bag below the door to catch any water - the door should unlock aftera few minutes.
