Need a code for my ford 6000 cd/radio?

Just got my Mondeo back from the garage and the radio is asking for a code. I have the code written in the Ford audio book but it just keeps saying wait 30 mins, and every 30 mins i try in vain. I have had 7 attempts. the serial no.is M140990. can any one help.Cheers Dave
