It's not a very clear question...

If it's a lamp and you only have two wires and nothing else you're probably OK - an electric light needs one wire to deliver power to the load and another wire to complete the circuit. The lamp does not care which way round the two wires fit.

Isolate the power - connect your two wires - reconnect the power and see what happens. If fuses blow or there's a bang or a breaker trips then call in an electrician.
