I had a stailess steel splashback made to fit behind my range oven - 1200mm x 800mm - rounded corners 50mm lip on bottom edge to fit over gap at the back of the cooker - £100 - advised to fix to wall with beads of silicone sealer. Very solid and will be difficult to remove should we ever need to. Any decent small sheet metal company will help you.
