Video input from RCA port is not working?

Hi anyone nice enough to answer this!

Both my video-in RCA ports on my CRT TV (it's a Samsung and about a dozen years old, if that makes any difference) are out. The last one hung on for a while such that when it started to flicker and dim and go out, I could futz with the plug and wiggle it around and it would come back. Now it's done. I was thinking of prying it open and tightening things and see if that helps; I don't know how difficult it would be to replace the port (I called radio shack and they said they had parts, but the person I was talking to didn't really know about them so I'm hoping she was looking at the right thing) if that's what I need to do. Any ideas/help would be appreciated. If I do need to replace the port, would I need to solder? I do not have a soldering tool. Thanks very much!
