I have an old Lexmark x2580 which I want to ceonnect to an old HP Pavillion comp just for printing no internet connected no software to connect can it be done?

If your PC uses Windows 95/98/ME for get it. Lexmark withdrew support for those OSes ages ago.

Well you have an internet connection to put the problem in here so....

You might download the appropriate printer driver from the Lexmark site (matching printer and the OS of the target system) and have it loaded onto a memory stick... move the stick to the target machine and take it from there.

Never done it myself - you can have fun trying...and have nothing to lose...
