my remote for the eurovox max blue is not working its stuck and i can only watch one favorites channel

Cant be the remote as nextdoor neighbours has same box and her remote works fine on hers but not on our box also ours works on her box ...it must be the signal beam not getting to the box or something inside the box is broken??
Help...we only turned it off for one week while on holiday....

try open it , and clean it , or look for one on ebay
