unsticking a fan?

i have a 3yr old baxi solo 3pfl 30/80
system boiler the fan is constantly sticking. the heating man charges me £45 per time for 10mins work.
how do i take the fan off to do it myself ive got the wd40

WD 40 is only a temporary cure - you must remove the dried baked-on oil and get some ptfe spray grease in to the bearings - works a treat - my 27 year old potterton neater-heat needed a new fan 15 years ago according to the gas board - it's still going strong, albeit a bit noisy now!

why hasnt he changed the fan its ten minutes work and would save the recalls u cant go do it yourself it is important its done properly if u not happy seek another engineer to change fan its obviously on its way out
