What causes 'frmtread' & 'error 11' in car cd player

I never had a problem like that with my Pioneer. FRMTREAD (Format Read?) is what my HU displays whenever I put in a CD. You should never see that message again until you put in another CD, or if your headunit loses all of it's setting because of a power loss.

Here are somethings you can try:
- Try pulling the radio fuses for a few minutes to reset the HU
- Try burning at a slower speed like 4x
- Try several different brands of disc (and CD-RWs too)
- Try different burning software
- Try a different burner

Are you by any chance using Memorex discs? I've had nothing but bad luck with their crap. I think they are manufactured by Infodisc.
