Pilot light ignition on Potterton Netaheat MK11 10-16 & 16-22?

How is the pilot light ignited on a Potterton Netaheat Boiler MK11 10-16 & 16-22. There is now obvious igniter button or gas control button.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I have the same netaheat 16-22 Mk II and was wondering if I should still hear the Spark generator clicking even after the boiler is running? I've had to change the spark gen about 3 times in the last 5 yrs.

You need to replace the outer casing screwd back in firmly before she fires up !

electronic ignition only lights when boiler calling for heat boiler off , pilot off , boiler starts you will here a clicking that is the sparker lighting the pilot.

Some boilers have manual ignition for the pilot flame
Some boilers have automatic ignition
Some boilers have no pilot

On my boiler, when there's a call for heat, the fan runs - you can hear it - then a pressure switch detects that the fan is running OK and only then will the control board open the pilot-flame gas-valve and strike a spark - bingo!

There's a window to look through
