Door catch - broke or reparabale?

Hi, I have a Haier dishwasher which has been fine for a couple of years now. However this morning the door would not close fully. After playing with the trays it was obviously down to the catch not clicking in correctly. I in my infinite wisdom took a screwdriver to the door side catch which to me just appeared to be stuck.
The catch has fallen back into the door a ways.
My question now is would it be wise for me to unscrew the door panel and try and resite the catch?
I am most concious of any seals I may disturb.

Any help much appreciated.
