main burner does not ignite, boiler fails to fire up, pilot light ok, pump ok, room stat ok. programmer ok.No heating or hot water.

1) Pilot flame not big enough to send sufficient signal to control board (blocked jet - small flame)
2) Control board "sees" signal from flame sensor but failing to act on it
3) Control board acting on pilot signal and telling gas-valve to open but gas vale defective
