Repairing Kenwood Chef A901?

My Kenwood motor control circuit failed so I bought a new pcb replacement and fitted it. Problem is the motor runs at full speed despite turning the dial. Could I have wired it wrongly or is down to adjusting the board on the sprung screws. Help please.

The circuit board has a locating pin on the edge of it, this has to be located into the white plastic wheel behind the speed control dial. This moves the board up & down as you change the speed. I hope this helps....

I am answering my own question to help anybody else with this problem. I have since discovered the replacement electronic PCB speed control is not for my earlier centrifugal system speed control on the end of the armature, but for the later model which uses a magnet on the end of the armature. The solution is to find a good motor assembly and replace mine or get the old board mended, which seems a better option.
