HOW CAN I GET MY MAKITA 14.4 VOLT NICAD DRILL BATTERY TO CHARGE?

HOW CAN I GET MY MAKITA 14.4 VOLT NICAD DRILL DRIVER BATTERIES TO ACCEPT CHARGING AS THEY ARE BOTH DEAD AT THE MOMENT.AND THE DRILL/DRIVER IS USELESS
THANK YOU

When battiers will not except a charge & pops braker reset, let your charger warm up to the touch & try a few more times. If all falls, pickup rechargable batteries at Radio Shack & use acid core solder{ not resin }doesn,t usually hold or take! Usually you will find 2 -3 bad cells. My 12v batteries cost around $54.oo..new replacement ..I cracked my first 3 old ones with a putty knift; but found easier to just take hacksaw to bottom edge & they just fall out. When done replacing in new batteries tape up bottom...PS don't plug up vent hole at bottom of battery!
