how can i fix my simpson 8kg washing machine swt802?

my simpson washing machine is a 8kg model number swt802, it has a lid lock light that is beeping and flashing continuesly and will not finish th cycle. i have made sure the lid is closed securely but this does not fix the problem

I have the same problem, and recieved an electric shock when examining the lock area with my finger. Machine reached the rinse cycle locked then decides to stop, then follows a continuous beeping noise. Paid approx 1300 plus for this machine only 19 months ago, should perform better than this. Come on SIMPSON developing a bad name for otherwise a good brand. Not happy customer bad SIMPSON experience. Yes they should be recalled immediately.

I have the same problem.. these washing machines need to be recalled!! mine gave me a electric shock in this switch!!! VERY bad dangerous design by "Simpson" and needs to be looked at before someone is electrocuted.

The lid is not locking. Is the lid broken in any way especially the piece that goes down in to the lock? If not then the locking mechanism needs looking at. It may need replacing.
