How does my charger work?

I have a Wickes 15.6V cordless drill and can't for the life of me figure out how to use the charger. I may be missing something but what I have is a plug with a metal cylinder at the end of the cord that goes somewhere but where?

you are missing the recharge pack, its something that you place the battery into after removing it from the unit
