u should try doing a system restor or try to take the keybored off then turn comuter on then plug it back in

Alternatively, try setting your keyboard to US english and then back to UK english. It may help, or you may need to clean it !

it could also be a keyboard setting... something you might have selectedin your microsoft word or other word software etc...try removing all word softwares and then reinstall them

Sounds like a software issue. Try recovery but you will lose all personal files so backup files first!
