2 y/o t.v. began turning off abruptly and coming back on right away. it now has gone off and won't come back on. at this time the only sign of life is the blue standby light. if i try to turn the set on the blue light goes off as usual but the t.v. will not turn on. any help will really be appreciated.

I had something very similar happen to me. the blue light on but would not turn on. I unplugged the set and plugged back in and now its working again. Not sure why and this has happened one other time as well to me.
