We placed a vase of Lilies on our window sill. The pollen from the Lilies has stained the white curtain backing fabric. Is there a good way to clean this off? I'm frightened to touch it in case I make the mess worse.

The same thing happened to me - I wrapped parcel tape around my hand, (sticky side outwards), and pressed it onto the pollen stains to remove them. The pollen grains stick to the tape and come off easily. Worked brilliantly on cream cloth.
