I want to put up curtain poles in my conservatory for floor length curtains but the window sills stick out by 19cm and the pole brackets stick are far less than that, I am having a lot of trouble finding a replacement bracket that would allow the curtains to hang straight down rather than at an angle. Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem once and added wooden blocks to the wall before putting the brackets on them. paint the blocks white so they don,t show too much
