How can I fix my hotpoint Ultima WT965 washing machine?

Please help me. My washing machine is making a terribly loud noise when it spins for about 15 mins.

Hi Kelly I think I may have the same problem as you. I have the same machine as you and it also started to make a loud banging noise when it got to the fast spin bit of the wash cycle.

Sorry to say that I havent fixed it yet but I have investigated a little further. From what I've heard it could be a drum bearing prob (I dont think this is the case as the drum spins fine when empty) or it could be that one of the drum supports has broken.

I think that the drum support (Don't quote me on this as i'm not a washing machine specialist so have no idea what the correct term for the bit would be) is the most likely route as it stands to reason that the drum would not spin properly when loaded if it isn't supported properly from all sides.

I'm going to open it up soon to have a closer look and will let you know what I find.
