Noisy water pipes from neighbours?

When my neighbours who are not attached to my house turn on their taps i get a banging noise in my pipes in my kitchen? Is there anything i can do to stop this?
please help driving me crazy

Sounds like you are on the same feed pipe so if on good terms ask them to turn up and down their mains IN stopvalve to see if it has any effect on stopping this baning. Then try turning up your mains IN stopvalve.
Lastly contact the water supplierexplain what's happening they may send out an engineer to investigate, may be small charge and don't hold your breath as in some areas they take their time.
