No picture on my Toshiba LCD TV just sound?

Got a 40" toshiba flat screen a few days ago, when the component cables hooked up I have sound but no picture at all, not even menus or input information on the T.V. screen. Totally blank all the time. Any ideas?

I have a 32" tosh and have similar but intermittent problem...sounds comes on but the display doesn't. Possibly a loose ribbon cable...take back cover off, in the center there is a silver cover, remove that. Inside you will see some ribbon cables, unclip and then re-seat them.

I have exactly the same problem, but amber light (timer) is flashing. Purchased the TV today (32AV635D) - very dissapointed
let me know if you gat a fix - if I find one I will post it
