Panasonic dmr-ez47eb only shows dvd2 in dispay when turned on will not do anything

Hi pete, it means the remote has lost its original frequency from the unit, if it is showing dvd 2 as you say, you need to re programme the remote, its easy, pointing it away from the recorder, press enter and number 2 for about 8 seconds, then it should work again. hope it works
