my zanussi jet system 1000 model code fjs 1025 w washing machine keeps comin up with an error code 40 how do i fix this

door lock faulty or possibly a faulty door lock that has caused damage to the main pcb.if you shut the door and start the machine do you hear it clicking several times before E40 comes up?.If it does then hopefully straight forward new door lock required
