My ribber cariage jams after the first few stitches , I have tried using different needles but it is the same

Hi Sheila,
Check the sponge bar on each bed and replace if worn.
Make sure you have the beds set at the right pitch or the needles will clash.
Remove the connecting arm and check that each carriage moves smoothly then replace it, making sure that it seats properly on the main carriage and hooks into the ribber carriage.
