My son always uses MUSTARD...thin layer and clean with a soft cloth...ONLY a soft cloth, as all other paper matters have wood fibers & will further scratch the CD.

I used a optical grade rubbing compound and then
a car wax (clearcoat sealent) to buff it up. I was going
to toss em but had to at least try something. So far
every one ive worked on has played great.
